Conserving water workshop this weekend in Diamond Valley

Water Conservation for Home and Garden to be discussed on May 4

A hot topic in southern Alberta is on the docket this weekend in Diamond Valley.

The Diamond Valley Community Gardens is hosting a workshop on Saturday, May 4 called Garden Discussion: Water Conservation for Home and Garden from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Sheep River Library.

The session, guided by Paula and Wallace Kroeker and Edie Pujo, will include discussion on items ranging from rainwater collection, moisture conservation in garden beds to optimal watering practices.

Diamond Valley has two community gardens: in Black Diamond at 2 Avenue and 1 Street NE and Turner Valley at 625 Caulkins Place SW. Garden beds are still available at the Black Diamond location.
