There is a large police presence on Sheep River Court in Okotoks this afternoon.
Multiple RCMP units converged on the area on May 1 at about 3 p.m.
RCMP said it was an "active situation."
It is believed police were called to the area in response to a gunshot.
Police at the scene did not confirm a shooting and said it was an isolated incident, and that there is no danger to the public.
Police remain on scene and more information is expected.
